In an effort to fully obey the great commission which was handed down to the church by Jesus Christ, Faith Baptist Church offers a class designed specifically for the new convert. The Bible tells us in Matthew 28:19-20 to “…Teach all nations…”, and then once a person has believed and has been baptized, we are to continue “teaching them to observe all things whithersoever I have commanded you…” This Class is taught by Rodney Houle, who, for many years now has been teaching discipleship classes in different churches and in his own home.
The material taught in the Foundations class comes from a book Brother Houle has written called “An Awakening”. Brother Houle is a student of the Word of God and has a burning desire to see new Christians, (no matter what their age) grounded in the Bible and maturing in the body of Christ.
This class runs on a 13 week cycle. When the cycle is complete, the class members will attend their regular Sunday school class.
